Installation
Resin hearts with embedded flags representing all UN World countries of six inhabited continents, acrylic panels and shelves for holding the "World" resin hearts are fastened to painted wood panels which represent the six continents, six created paper baskets holding the resin hearts of the countries for each continent.
The viewer is invited to pull a heart from a basket of their choice and find the respective country on the installation panels, then placing the heart on its shelf and hopefully follow their curiosity to begin their research of this country to learn more about the geographic location, people, their history and culture; and perhaps realizing that we are not that different after all in our aspirations, dreams and fears.
After all hearts are placed the One Heart is connected with all of the world resin hearts threads to form/weave an interconnected web. The web created from this installation will birth a sculpture born out of this Heartsong idea.
